EDIT: I DID ALL 30 BUT THEN BLOGGER DELETED THEM SO I DID THE FIRST 20 FOR NOW.

Because I am incredibly self-indulgent, I believe that the world should recognise my views on every subject as correct especially music, hence this post. In fact I think that a huge statue to be erected in my honour, maybe when I'm famous for blogging about absolutely nothing in particular before my audience of millions realises that I have wasted their time, this might come to fruition.

Not that I seek reassurance about my musical judgment and, I believe my taste in music is very eclectic and diverse, so maybe you want to copy me and find some better music than you listen to, I'm sure you will know most of the artists mentioned, however some of you may not, and you should definitely listen to some of them...

So here goes.

1) My favourite song -

this tune is amazing, how ADTR combine there typical heavyish style and give the song a subtlety and feeling of pure affection amazes me.

2) My least favourite song -

I'm sure there are songs that I dislike more but I can't think of them, but this came to mind immediately, the constant repetition of something that doesn't make any sense - like a g6? a simile relating to what? Exactly. Lazy writing, it annoys me (I'll have you know that this blog takes considerable effort!).

3) A song that makes me happy -

It's just so happy, it's just a typical party song. I just love it, and any positive love song is happy isn't it?

4) A song that makes me sad ): -

The lead singer of this band, Ian Curtis tragically committed suicide and it is often said that the music of the band (which he wrote) became darker towards the end of his short life, this song is sort of the pinnacle of this I think and its used on the funeral scene of a movie made about his death - Control. Very sad indeed.

5) A song that reminds me of someone -

Now, a few years ago, I decided to make a band, and we all the components except a vocalist, after advertising for one failed I got a friend of mine to do it, this was our first little cover song. Love it.

6) A song that reminds me of somewhere -

When I was on holiday in Wales a few years back Pete's album had just been released and I listened to it non-stop, it complimented the idyllic countryside and beach so well it was unreal.

7) A song that reminds me of a certain event -

Leeds fest 2010 I was so close to the stage and Mumford and Sons were probably the best band I've ever seen live, sorry for the video quality, but I think it really mirrors as closely as anything can how good it was live.

8) A song I know all the words to -

I know the words to quite a few songs - the entire Mumford and Sons' 'Sigh No More' But I wanted to mix it up a little and since this band played Leeds 2010 too, why not.

9) A song I can dance to -

Absolute tune, massive song but once it kicks in I can't help but to love it and the title is applicable to this bit.

10) A song that makes me sleep -

Because I am extremely lazy I can fall asleep to anything really but this is just so melodic and special, amazing song.

11) A song by my favourite band -

I didn't want to use 2 songs from the same artist and I find it hard to think of a lone band that is my favourite so one of my all time favourite has to be Vampire Weekend so yeah.

12) A song by a band I hate -

I don't know why I just really hate Take That. There.

13) A song that is a guilty pleasure - I don't have any! -_- ummm fine you caught me...

This might not be a guilty pleasure but I see it as a really feminine song I don't know why again?

14) A song that no one would expect me to love - truth be told I love the streets, I don't think many people would put me down as liking these, or this song, but I do, so there.

15) A song that describes me -

LOL.

16) A song that I used to love but now hate -

this came out when I was in like year 5 and I had the album and stuff, I'm ashamed now but what of it?

17) A song that I hear often on the radio - I don't often listen to music on the radio but when I did it always seemed to be this

< 18) A song that I wish I heard on the radio -

Love the breakdowns in this song and it might scare a few upperclass tools (Y).

19) A song from my favourtite album - I've already used Mumford and Sons' sigh no more, so I'll use a different favourite album...

1901 by phoenix from their album 'Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix' Love this song and the album.

20) A song I listen to when I'm angry

The breakdowns and stuff just convey anger, such an angry song so it's perfect.

OKAY SO I JUST DID ALL 30 AND THEN BLOGGER MESSED UP, SO IF YOU THINK IM DOING THEM AGAIN. NO.
WELL MAYBE TOMORROW ILL EDIT THIS OR SOMETHING BUT FOR NOW YOU'VE HAD YOUR FILL. BE GONE. (:

Cheers, Nathe

THE BUAFL

Yes the Buafl or simply the 'British Universities American Football League'.

Nothing else intrigued me really this week because the life I lead is so bland and mundane, the concept is simple enough really, its a league for universities to compete against one another in the sport of hurting one another American Football.

I just thought I'd give my 2 or probably more cents on the league and stuff because the sport itself is a passion of mine and I play for Derby Uni's American Football team the Derby Braves. Originally when I thought of talking about this topic I wanted to give a sort of match report on todays game against Leicester, but realised that I was far too busy playing and keeping the bench toasty to actually notice who did what. What I will now say though is we won 36 - 0, which is good because we won our last game 31 - 0, so its a bit of a gloat-filled improvement in my eyes.

A bit of shameless advertising too now.
we play at Kedleston Road 3G pitch (just outside the SU) and our next game is on the 27th of this month, so in 2 weeks, thats against the NTU renegades and itll be a good one, so personally I'd appreciate the support (Y).

Back the BUAFL. The league itself is I suppose sensibly divided geographically, you have the Border Conference, the Northern Conference, the Midland Athletic Conference, the South Western Atlantic Conference, the Thames Valley Conference and the South Eastern Conference. Obviously this means that teams don't have to travel very far to each game, but at the same time there is no tier system in terms of ability, so it many teams don't really have a fighting chance.

The site itself is actually well run and if you have any interest at all in the sport it would be good to check out, especially now the NFL is in its off-season, there are links to loads of things like updated news sections including a match report on a game played somewhere around the UK, which could make for a little light reading if you get bored of reading this rubbish im spewing out onto my keyboard. There are forums and links to the league tables including scores of previously played games so its well worth a gander.

I don't think that this little post has been very good tbh, I wanted to make it interesting I honestly did, but I like writing when I'm tired and can't sleep as it seems to help, but I can't seem to concentrate and it's hard to blog about things and not be embarrassed about what I have written when I wake up, so I think I'm going to leave it for now and find something more interesting to talk about in the next cheeky edition, I'll make it slightly humorous if I can too, I promise. so please check back? please?

thanks. Nathe. xx

Last.fm

Possibly the best website in the world.

I've been a Last.fm user for years but after a short stint of using it, totally forgot about it... Lately I started using it again and I have to tell you about it. ITS DEAD GOOD.

Basically Last.fm is a website that deals in the music industry, and allows users a very impressive amount of features (especially considering that its free), musicians and bands etc. can upload music (much like mypace did before facebook stole all its audience) and then ordinary none musical folks can listen to it... But here is where it gets good...

Say you search for a band in this instance I'll search for Justin Bieber ('cuz he iz ma faverit singer eva) a page will come up... http://www.last.fm/search?q=justin+bieber&from=ac like that one, and you can see where the artist is playing next, read all about them, see pics that other users have uploaded, and click 'listen to "the musician that you searched's" radio' TRY IT. This is the best feature... Last.fm will play you a song by the artist, or maybe 2 if you're really lucky, but then it finds artists that are similar to this band, and play a song from them... This helps you get in to so many different bands, don't you agree that its DEAD GOOD?

On top of this last.fm made apps and things for android phones and for your itunes etc that scrobble (a word that last.fm made up) the song, i'm unsure what that word actually entails, but what the apps do is count what songs you listen to, and on your personal Last.fm profile tells you your play count and tells you what artists and what songs you've listened to the most, it then compiles all of these into your library, and wherever you are on your computer or app, you can play back your library straight from the internet...

GO AND TRY IT OUT, YOU'LL LIKE IT IM SURE.

and i'm sure that there is more features but I'm bored of typing now, so next week or whenever I can be arsed to write another blog and get back on here and write something else out on another installment of RTTCMA. but for now I've been Nathe and you've been bored reading this... bye. c:

First installment.

OK.
So as an attempt to get writing frequently in order to help in my future career of Journalism I decided to start blogging, most people blog with an intention, or focus on a particular topic, or subject or have something they want to achieve from their blog.

- I don't.

I will literally just blog about anything from websites that I find, to apps, to things that I like, dislike, love and loath and I won't care who reads it...

Hopefully this difference between me and the rest of the blogging universe will make for more entertaining reading, and bring me some success in the world, maybe someone massive will employ for my writing skillz, or more likely 10 people will read this blog when I paste the link on my facebook and it will be lost somewhere in Blogger's server never to be read again. Oh well, ever the Optimist.

None of my blogs will be brainstormed or planned (including this one). I'm just going to type, and with a risk of sounding like a 13 year old american girl, if you don't like it, don't hate me 'cuz you aint me. This will also mean that if you paste this into word you will be attacked with red squiggles, this may take away from the professionalism, but I'll refer you to the above comment about the American girl...

OK here goes nothing...
